According to Lally's study, it takes anywhere between 18 and 254 days for people to form a new habit.

We are creatures of habit, so the idea of changing our habits can feel like an uphill struggle. Even if we know that the habits that we are in may not be supporting us...

Having hit the big 40 last year and said goodbye to my 30’s, my attention is turned to the next decade of my life and what might be ahead. It sees our two kiddies entering and living through their teens, and Ian and I transitioning into middle-age....eeek!

Over half-ter...

This quote was taken from one of my favourite series - Call the Midwife. It was from a scene where Sister Mildred briefed the junior midwife before she went out to single -handedly deliver her first baby. Being more experienced in this field, Sister Mildred was able to...

‘Trotting out’ is a term used when horses are brought back into exercise after being turned out for the winter to start getting them fit.

This term really sums up how I feel as I start this blog, with the evenings drawing out and the energies rebuilding after the darke...

THERE is something particularly inspiring about working with therapists and instructors whose own lives have been transformed by the therapies they now practice and teach.

That is the case with Liz Reddish and Jane Fowler, who have combined their wealth of experience, knowledge and skills to teach people the skill of Touch For Health Kinesiology.

This non-invasive system of natural health care, which is performed over clothes, combines the principles of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Tibetan Energy techniques and more orthodox techniques. Muscle monitoring is used to assess energy and body function before a range of gentle, yet powerful, balancing techniques are applied.

TFH Kinesiology supports balance in all aspects of life, allowing students to make a positive difference to their own health and the wellbeing or that of others. The benefits include:

  • Improvement in general health

  • In-creased energy and vitality

  • Breaking down blocks, barriers and emotional triggers

  • In-creased confidence and personal motivation

  • Improved posture and relief from physical pain and tension

  • Stress relief and day-to-day stress management strategies.

  • Support to change attitudes and set and achieve personal goals

  • Enhanced brain function, which can support Improved co-ordination in life, work and sports performance.

TFH Levels 1 – 4 have been developed as modular courses and are ideal for anyone dipping their toe into energy medicine for the first time or for the experienced practitioner who wants to expand their practice.

TFH Level 1 will run in Devon and Somerset from September. TFH Levels 2 – 4 are offered as a two-day residential course at Swallet Farm in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty on top of the Mendip hills near Bristol and Bath, 30 minutes from the M5.
